These might be my fave producers of all time (more than bruai l imo ), just bought the last piece I needed of the Rhythm & Sound label. Didn't realise I had them all till picking this one up.

Gonna aim to get all the Basic Channel stuff next, but there's raa other shit like Maurizio, Cyrus, etc. and then the Round One to Round Five stuff too, always feel like I'm missing out on something.

Wouldn't say obsessive, but I do love Rhythm&Sound. Basic Channel still seems a bit too abstract/repetitive for me tbh. But this is one of the greatest tunes of all time.



Managed to see the Mortiz Von Oswald Trio a few years ago, which was pretty cool. I seem to recall him saying it was about making organic music sounding electronic, rather than electronic sounding organic. So like, orchestral techno business.

Mango Drive was probably the only R&S tune that didn't grab me immediately, absolutely love it now though.

Don't totally agree about the Basic Channel abstract comment brochari, this one (one of my favourite tunes of all time) is just one example of some pretty abstract R&S pieces:



Trace/Imprint and Roll Off, etc are probs more abstract than a lot of BC stuff.

I've rinsed that Round One - I'm Your Brother so much recently. So different from their other stuff.

Would love to catch R&S live, saw Mark Ernestus and DMZ in Leeds about a year and a half ago, one ofmy favourite sets I've ever seen.

Love R&S but don't listen to their stuff nearly as much as I would like.. only just recently got my first piece of R&S vinyl. Can't say the same about Basic Channel though, their stuff hasn't grabbed me although I've not given them much listening time so I'll hold off judgement for now.

Guilty. Definitely high up in my list of favorite producers. Possibly even on top tbh. I don't think a single day goes by without me listening to a couple of their tracks. King In My Empire really is one of my favorite tunes as well.
Got about 20 of their records on vinyl now. Just need a couple more till I've got all burial mix records and about 2 till I've got all R&S.

Wish I had the money to drop on all the Burial mix 7"s. Got the compilations though.

I always preferred it at 45 rpm, and never really thought about playing it at 33 rpm until I looked it up on youtube and there was both versions on there. Bit heartbroken when I checked it on Hardwax and it was 33 rpm, sounds so much better at 45.

I just got into Rhythm & Sound very recently, fucking love it.

Should also say that Round Five - Na Fe Throw It sounds good at both speeds too.

I actually prefer Aerial at 33 tbh. But yeah I agree that it also sounds great at 45. In fact, I didn't even realise it should be played at 33rpm till weeks after I got it.

Yeah man, kept my eye out for it for ages on discogs, there were only copies around £60 up, then somebody put it up for £6. Now there seems to be loads up.
