How do you get people to hear your music?

I am not hugely experienced with social media marketing and I'd love to know ways to get a huge following on like twitter for example without posting my tits and/or outfit of the day.. and ideally I'd love to not have to whore out "follows" like I'll follow you back kinda thing because I don't want to be fuckin seeing everyone's dumb shit.. ya dig? Feel like those are the biggest ways just posting inane bullshit and following everyone and their mom, or posting some boobs

Just post them on soundcloud and wait for the followers. For me output is key and obviously something people might like. Also getting a decent amount of people to critique your music is a must because maybe they can point out mistakes you have missed.Obviously picking the right sort of people for criticism is important because you wouldn't want half the people on production board or even feedback thread for that matter as all you will get is "yeah bruv sick".

I feel like there's more to it than that cause I've been posting on soundcloud for a long time and I only really started getting followers when I started posting on this message board, and I still don't really even have very many

post on other peoples sc's, but only genuine comments with constructive criticism/praise, not generic shit like "dope" or "nice one!" and follow people too, but again only people you actually want to follow. i check out people who leave me good comments. and anytime someone follows me, i check them out too. but more than half the time its just some idiot with 1000 followers, just following for the sake of following and hoping for a follow back. if i see that, i dont even check out their tracks.
of course the most important thing is making good music.

This man.
So many people wanna have this popularity when i think even they themselves know their songs aren't at a top level yet
Swear theres so many random brostep/electro house producers who have found tricks to get bare followers, but at the end of the day their musics not up to par, so who cares if they've tricked thousands of people into following them. It don't mean shit.
Not sayin this is you btw, but just make the best music you can and it will come. & Not to say don't put yourself out there, but focus more on music than marketing.
imo, i hope

Not that big of a deal lol. If they don't like it the chances are that they won't bother responding to you about it, and will probably forget who you are unless you overload their inboxes with muck.
Then they'll block your ass.

Nothing wrong with some good old fashioned real life networking. Hand out CDs of your tunes or mixes as people are leaving clubs (obviously pick the right clubs and the right nights). Not only will you distribute your music (OK, so most of those people will use the CD as a coaster or put it straight in the bin), but it's a good way to meet people who may be interested in what you are doing. Make sure to include your contact details with the CDs (soundcloud link, facebook page, e-mail address for bookings if you DJ, etc). This is a good start IMO

this is something i worry about. i don't mind sending people tunes once but is it worth sending them shit again if they never replied to your first message?
