hey im new to this site so bare with me.

ive recently wanted to make the tunes ive made on reason more punchy and beefd up and masterd and stuff but dnt really know the best way to do so.
ive rewired reason into ableton and put the drums and bass and instruments in each channel into ableton. but dnt really know the best way too beef up the drums and stuff. ive heard psp xenon is nice but its just making the leap from reason to ableton wich i want to do. i am good at eq'ing basses and highpassin things till they sound nice etc its just the overall mixdown i would like to learn. i hear producers that have made a tune on reason then master it in ableton and theres SOOOOOOOOOO much of a difference i just dnt know were to start.

If you get the Xenon you can use it as a VST in Ableton and run your Reason stuff through it.

It is $250 to buy though...would you be wanting to buy or torrent it?

Also, when you say beefy and punchy, do you mean louder?

ERMM not sure people can talk about torrents on this thing so im just gunna say i am a multi millionaire and i can jus buy what i want and i just mean...... other peoples tunes who have masterd on logic or ableton they sound more shiney and compressed and just like a masterd tune u would hear on the radio or something. i just wanna make my drums more fuller etc

More fuller like louder?

If it's just mastering you want to do, you could always send the tunes to a mastering house to get them done.

Honestly I don't think you will get any benefit out of mixing in Ableton. Perhaps Cubase, Logic and PT, yes, because of the more conventional mixer, and it's much easier to do bussing in these programs, (and it sounds better) but not Ableton. Reason by itself is great, I know this because it's what FaltyDL uses to make his tunes, and they sound very good.

If you don't feel confident that Reason has the tools, switch to Ableton and be done with it instead of worrying.

Lot's of people don't wanna give up the synths in reason though, which is why I use to re-wire it into Ableton

Mixing and mastering is a craft. That's why the people who do it professionally are engineers.
Might aswel keep it in Reason, although you lack some visual aids.

don't mix in Ableton 8 if you already have another DAW, and don't try to make up for your mastering skills by switching DAWs.
