Anyone else been watching this?
It's a pretty damn high production value docu-drama from The History Channel, and I must say damn good so far.
It's only on it's third episode, but I'm hooked
The HISTORY® original series Vikings transports us to the brutal and mysterious world of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), a Viking warrior and farmer who yearns to explore—and raid—the distant shores across the ocean. His ambition puts him at odds with local chieftain Earl Haraldson (Gabriel Byrne), who insists on sending his raiders to the impoverished east rather than the uncharted west. When Ragnar teams up with his boat builder friend Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) to craft a new generation of intrepid ships capable of conquering the rough northern seas, the stage is set for conflict.
But for all its warfare and bloodshed, Vikings is also a story of family and brotherhood, capturing the love and affection between Ragnar and his wife, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), a respected warrior in her own right. It is the tale of Ragnar’s brother Rollo (Clive Standen), a fierce fighter who simmers with jealously; of Earl Haraldson’s wife Siggy (Jessalyn Gilsig), a dutiful beauty who may be less than loyal; and of the monk Athelstan (George Blagden), whose Christian morals clash with the Vikings’ pagan society. As ambition and innovation rattle a civilization, these characters will be put to the test—and their way of life will never be the same again.

So now that it's half into the series and revealed it's a drama show how do people feel?
The swedes and finns seem to hate it for "hostroy" (irony being the history channel)
But it's like HBO or AMC drama.
Those of you keeping with it I'm sure are waiting on the next episode, what do you guys think?

Heh when most were watching GoT debut and Walking Dead finale, I was watching ep 5 of this.
This and GoT are best on TV atm.
Plenty of blood pillage and rape like GoT as well, shame not on youtube.
If you're in USA History is marathoning first 5 eps atm 2x times so 10 hrs of Vikings.
New ep tomorrow, Sunday at 9-10.

Yea you do it's gotten a lot better and keeps getter better.
Maybe, the main problem is that the show hasn't been reolded enough imo.

I don't know, I'm scandinavian so the freedom the writers have taking in trying to oldefy properly is definitely pulling it down, but it looks good and the acting is right above tolerable most of the time.
They could've used last names like Ol(son), Svendson and so on, which would help when you try to describe the family structures and so on. But they went for Ragnar Eaglebum and so on. Minor quirks.
