For the last year Funkworthy FM have been building a unique
series in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Taking a no-holds-barred approach
to playing all things reggae, they cross genres seamlessly
exploring the full gambit of dub from rockers to ragga, dubstep and grime,
chutney soca and viennese dancehall. Serious bass
pressure, exclusives from some of your favorite dancehall artists, and
remixes by some of the worlds best dj's. The Anniversary party
literally brings the bass to Galapagos (Williamsburg) – importing the
Grim Sound System with 8,000 watts of WAMP! to the dancefloor.
From Toronto's enormous scene comes long-time drum & bass
ambassador Marcus Visionary. Recently having signed to the Digital Soundboy imprint, Marcus has released some of the biggest ragga anthems of the last two years. Exclusively for this show, Marcus will debut a grip of unreleased new dubstep tunes he's been working on....
