OK so i've just got a copy of fl studio 8, not really sure whats going on..

if I make some loop in the step sequencer, with multiple channels, like some 4 bar loop with a kick, snare and hat for example. if i want to then put this into the overall playlist, how can I just 'copy' individual channels over from the step sequencer into the overall playlist? so for example, say i made the 4 bar loop and i tweaked the snares around in the step sequencer, how can I add the same snares into the overall playlist without having to redo all of the settings for that snare.

hope ive made sense :)

Why are you using 8 when there's free updates?

Not sure if 8 had the pattern clips or only the pattern blocks, but for the former you can copy a clip and use the 'make unique' feature to edit it independently of the clip you copied it from. It's in the little drop down menu when you click on the little button in the top left hand corner of a pattern/audio/automation clip. If you can't do that, grab a free update to FL10.

As for the performance issue, check the image line website for tips on how to make FL run faster, there are plenty of them to implement and significantly improve the quality of the playback. Also check your audio drivers settings (I would recommend getting an external USB audio interface), try messing with the buffering to optimise performance.

Hope this helps!
