Beating My Self Up Over Sub Bass

I am doing this new track, and I can't decide whether or not to keep the sub bass @ Octave 1/2 or Octave 2/3... Octave 2/3 sounds a bit more tangier, so idk if that is appropriate for brostep or not... On the other hand Octave 1/2 is more deeper...
If my knowledge is correct... Octave 1 - 2 is 30Hz - 70Hz, and Octave 2 - 3 is 60 Hz - 120 Hz...
To anyone that does deep dub, or brostep, do u generally keep your sub @ Octave 1 or 2?

Most audible sub is from 35 hz to 100, but you wanna go a little deeper than 100. Don't worry about the octaves, write yourself a deep sub that doesn't go much below 35 and doesn't clash with the kick.

Well I mean like, if the lowest octave of the sub was 1 for example, but the highest note played is 2... Octaves have frequency ranges also, and different notes do... Like Octave 1 is obv deeper than octave 2...

Ya, I am going to just go with Octave 1 then, cause Octave 2 is way more apparent, and not deep really... It's subby, but more pitchy sounding...

I'd go with the lower set of notes, if you really want some more audible bass, perhaps duplicate your sub line to a higher octave on a lowpassed saturated saw to let some harmonics creep through.

The deep sub will hit you in the chest more, but the higher sub will resonate more... I am trying to think how this will sound out in a club, so...

It's a -20db sample, obviously it's low... lool... I should of threw a limiter on it though, just for a test...

You gonna get a decline audiblilty from f1 to c1...
and I use both octaves and portamento a lot to get the best of both octaves.

anything between a low D# and a low B will work, make sure it's above 33hz and below 70hz, something like that.

I am pretty sure it's above 33Hz... It peaks around 50Hz - 60Hz so...
I am pretty done with my Here To Stay remix, so I'll show u guys here... Let me know how the sub sounds... Is it to low (as in deep) @___@
Also if u want to critique the overall mix, that would be cool also :3

low e mate, thats where the pressure is at... hits right at 40-42. pure sin sub plus some saturation and youre on your way

the low one, since its a frequency that can fit well with other frequencies and just keeping things tidey like sharp eqing can prevent mudding , there are some frequencies that club systems wont pick up though

It depends on what suits your sound more.
Use your ears and decide, technicalities really don't matter as long as it sounds good.
