VSTs/Soundfonts for reggae instruments

Hi,I was wondering if anyone knew some good VSTs or Soundfonts for reggae instruments such as Guitar, Brass, Clav, and Organ. I have VSTs for Sax, and Piano. I have some good tunes already, but they are in 8bit style, but I'd like to make them into actual Reggae songs or maybe make a really good reggae/dubstep or DnB track. If anyone can knows any good VSTs, I'd love to know!
Also, these are some songs that are in chiptune form but I would like to make into sounding realistic;

I'm not trying to synthesize a real sound, I'm trying to get a VST similar to Kontakt or something that is a sort of sample library, or a soundfont. That's all I'm asking, if you can't help, please don't post. I'm simply looking for some instruments.

Yeah, a few good things on there.

many dancehall / reggae producers use saw waves with filter envelopes for brass, saw wave plucks for organ and electric piano chords layered with violin "pick" sounds or harpischord sounds going through a bandpass filter. and yeah, before you say you want the real thing, that's actually the real thing. The feeling of the tune is what makes it sound like reggae, not the sounds you use. Also, knowing how to write reggae helps too, the chord inversions that follow the bass line, the bass line itself acting like a lead and gravitating on the root, the third and the fifth, how the drum riddim goes and the hi hat feeling, little stuff like that.

Just thought I'd add. Reggae is generally quite a natural sounding genre. I know there are plenty of modern interpretations and remixes etc etc, but if you listen to stuff along the lines of reggae you will most likely find more samples and recorded instruments.

I might also add that it is often better to try and sample straight from a tune rather than always using sample CD's. In my experience many of these sample CD's don't really offer good quality stuff. It's usually just a bunch of random shitty samples that can be difficult to use.

Hi there

Native Instruments have an organ VST called the Hammond B4 (used to be B3). They also have plenty of stuff in their Komplete package. Applied Acoustic Systems have various options too including Lounge Lizard EP-4. http://www.applied-acoustics.com/products/

But all that costs money, so you'd probably be better served by checking out the plugin 'finder' function on KVRaudio.com (http://www.kvraudio.com/q.php). Just type in 'organ', 'keys' or whatever and plenty will come up.

You may also want to check out the Dub Scrolls website where they have plenty of info on producing reggae/dub and also provide some custom VST FX. (http://www.interruptor.ch/vst_donationware.shtml)

If you're using Reason, then the sound banks that come with it contain plenty of stuff which can be used by adding effects etc.

An alternative for non-Reason users may be Steinberg Hypersonic which contains loads of different sampled instruments and makes layering very easy for some great results.

Finally, Kontakt is by far the most widely supported synth/sampler platform out there in terms of third party content. If you go down the Kontakt route, searching Google or KVR for Kontkt soundbanks should yield plenty of results for every kind of sound set and instrument you may desire!
