Time tagged for your convenience. I'm working on recreating that sound. Anyone know what they would call it even. I'm using Massive as my weapon of choice as well as ohmicide, camel phat and ableton's saturator, overdrive, and amp. I got the amp envelope to max sustain with a slight attack on it. That part sounds right. Also I know there's an envelope modulating the screem filter cutoff + scream amount. I know that envelope has a short-ish attack and full sustain. Still working on finding the right wavetables, wondering if I should use formant. Any input guys?

Bump.

Experimenting with m-talk, bend +/-, modulation on intensity, and formant-saw.

Any input guys? This type of bass/lead is an important element in dubstep nowadays.

Sounds a whole lot like the scream filter to me

On massive:

OSC1: Saw wave, formant mode (select up the top right of the osc1 tab). Pitch -36
OSC2: Square wave, pitch -24

Filter 1: Scream
Set an envelope on the cutoff freq with attack at about 10-11 o clock, from all the way shut to all the way open
Set the 'Scream' Parameter at 1 o clock
Set the Res at about 3 o clock

Insert 1: Parabolic Shaper, full dry/wet, full drive

FX1: Classic tube, full dry/wet, full drive

EQ: Boost the high to about 2 o clock

For finesse I'd play around with the OSC2 waveform, but this is pretty close

Good text tut. I also added and envelope to the formant intensity on the -36 saw. Starting the envelope at 12 o'clock going all the way to the right. ADSR for that envelope has an attack time pointing at 12 o'clock as well.
