Filter Question
Im looking to but a filter with good overdrive and resonance. Some thing with a nice interface. I'm looking to hopefully keep it around $50. Any suggestions for that price range. I was looking at Sugarbytes WOW filter, but its a little more than I'm looking to spend. Something comparable to that though would be awesome.
Re: Filter Question
I don't think it's like WOW filter, but NI Driver? It's only low-pass and notch, but it's my favorite coloring filter.

Re: Filter Question
lol. I was just watching a youtube video on it and the guy was saying how it was free until 2012. Looks pretty cool though. Now... If I were to bite the bullet and put up some extra cash, do you think Ohmicide would achieve the same effects and then some as Filter or WOW. Ive heard good things about it.

If you're prepared to spend a bit more - Cytomic - The Drop. Best filter I've heard. It's still in beta but you can buy it now.drake6 wrote:lol. FXpansion Etch is also pretty good, lots of modulation and different types of distortion, built in compressor.

Yeah. If its really good I'm up for spending more. Id rather get it right the first time then spend more on multiple filters that don't get the effects I'm looking for. I was something that can get the growls and screams nice and clean, or should I say dirty. lol.
Re: Filter Question
I'm gonna be running it with massive on FL studio.

Re: Filter Question
Tone2 bifilter. $39. I use it a lot more then WOW.
Re: Filter Question
Awesome. Thanks for all the input.
Re: Filter Question
Also, Volcano2. I like Saturn better than Ohmicide for multiband distortion.
Blaze it -4.20dB

Re: Filter Question
actually WOW has just what your looking for. you can really crank the overdrive and the resonance and the filter still sounds great. id actually recommend it. WOW is definitely nice to have in your arsenal along with maybe one other filter as well and your stock daw filter.

Re: Filter Question
Computer Music magazine have the Subsonic Labs Worlfram multi-effects (pitchshifter, distortion and filter) with every issue, why don't you try that.
Re: Filter Question
No it doesn't. It doesn't even sound great before you crank it.Eat Bass wrote:actually WOW has just what your looking for. you can really crank the overdrive and the resonance and the filter still sounds great.

Good call. I just started messing around with it. It's pretty cool. Kinda makes me want to pick up the full version.rockonin wrote:Computer Music magazine have the Subsonic Labs Worlfram multi-effects (pitchshifter, distortion and filter) with every issue, why don't you try that.
Re: Filter Question
volcano 2 and wow are both excellent. Volcano is very easy to use, and is versatile. WOW is very basic, but it has the vowel mode which is neat sometimes.
first song I ever completed: Soundcloud
