Did a remake of one of the first songs I ever posted here. Lemme know what you think, technical thoughts especially.

It might sound better if you ran everything through the same reverb, it sounds all over the place with the birds and flute in a next dimension to the drums and bass.

Also, a bit too wet on the drums and bass, and a bit too dry on the birds. The flute is nice, like it, but needs to be quieter in the mix.

I used to do the same thing and someone said what I just but in more vague terms (i.e no technical tips) and that's how I cracked it.

Think of your tracks as one SCENE, like a movie or story, and blend it all together. Helps with mono compatability and general auditory perception if you use the wet/dry balance to place things between the front (dry end) of the mix and the back (wet end). Don't put things on the same level if they'll conflict etc, think of it as another dimension to left and right.
