Has everyone heard about The Big Up Festival? It's a pretty sweet gathering in Claverack, NY in early August. Good vibes, great music, awesome art installations and activities... plus it doesn't seem like it's on too many people's radar yet, so you don't have to worry about bros and hos wrecking the place haha. It's only $120 for a three day pass including camping.
Check out the activities lineup: "We're psyched to offer an array of activities to foster wellness practices, engage new friendships, and leave you inspired and motivated! Join certified professionals for yoga, guided meditation, and sound therapy, or engage in hula-hoop and dance workshops, drum clinics and drum circles, a very special bass/efx/sound design workshop with John Davis (bassist of Nerve), phenomenal body painting, informative interactive lectures, and collective and interactive art workshops. But wait, there's more! There will be Ultimate Frisbee action, a festival-wide scavenger hunt with serious prizes, live band karaoke with surprise special guests as your personal back up band, and of course, a cook off with a select panel of judges for this year's dish: GUACAMOLE! We will have a kite-making workshop, apparel deconstructing activities, bird watching, and some out-of-this-world costume themes for each night! Please stay tuned for more exciting updates on new workshops and activities to come. You never know who may show up!"
