Hey, I've has this problem for a while and I don't know if it can be fixed.

Basically I would like FL Studio sound playing at the same time I use youtube. I want to be improvising and watching tutorials this way but either fl studio sound cuts out or the audio on youtube cuts out. I have tried clicking "auto close device" but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help is appreciated thanks

I don't use FL, but this sounds like an issue with your computer. what kind of computer are you using?

I'm guessing you're using ASIO drivers? Go into your audio settings. You can either tick the box that says 'auto-close device,' or change the driver back to your PC's default (which is most likely 'Primary sound driver' or something.)

If you are using ASIO4ALL I don't think you can do this.

Yep this is right, back when I used ASIO4ALL with Ableton 8, I could never hear audio from the internet and audio from my DAW at the same time. It was definitely a hassle switching back and forth.

ASIO channels can be shared. ASIO4ALL doesn't have the option in its settings that I recall though. In FL as mentioned above, 'auto-close device' in the audio options. In Ableton Live, you have to click or right click the CPU meter to release the driver, then click again to enable again.
