Icke has taken his "ancient astronaut" narrative from the Israeli-American writer, Zecharia Sitchin, who argued – for example in Divine Encounters (1995) – that the Anunnaki had come to Earth for its precious metals. put it this way I believe more that he say's than any politician I could potentially vote for and would vote for him if his name appeared on a ballot paper...

because despite his controversial views on our origins he actually wants to hold people to account regardless of their status which isn't something that can be said for anyone that runs...

You want to introduce something you know the people won't like. ... So you first create a PROBLEM, a rising crime rate, more violence, a terrorist bomb ... You make sure someone else is blamed for this problem ... So you create a "patsy," as they call them in America, a Timothy McVeigh or a Lee Harvey Oswald. ... This brings us to stage two, the REACTION from the people – "This can't go on; what are THEY going to do about it?" ... This allows THEM to then openly offer the SOLUTION to the problems they have created ..

Whilst I can't grasp the concept of lizard people on the moon or whatever, I agree with your point about mankind inventing them to fill a need. However, I'm not especially sure this is a positive thing if you're creating solutions and answers to answer your own conspiracy theories.

Actually, I'm a 'fan' of Mr Icke (don't agree with everything he says before anyone comes out with ZOMG LIZARD ILLUMINATI LOLOLOLOL), I just don't see why Pistons would post this here. Painfully obvious the kind of response even the very mention of Icke's name or anything even remotely connected to 'conspiracy theories' receives here.
I'm not having a go, the majority of 'truthers' that I know are basically band wagon jumpers that saw a ten minute youtube video this one time and act like some enlightened tnuc, just think the generalizations are a bit tired....ya know?

To me a few years ago I just started seeing a lot of things...everywhere...symbols...things that seemed a bit off and upon further inspection were definitely off (mainly slogans/branding/music stuff & popular culture)
