Was wondering if anyone else thinks it would be a good idea to have a dedicated "name that song thread", where you could post bits of a mix that you dont have the tracklist for (and cant find it on the web) and people could reply saying what song it was and where they could find more stuff like that. I personally feel that I've missed out on a lot of good music because I dont know what a song is called.
In addition, maybe vaguely categorise it? I know this is kinda like segregation or trying to create a sub genre for every song ever produced but it would save time. EG If I was an expert in the more techno side of things and somone posted a really deep reggae sounding track it would be a waste of my time clicking the play button and listening when chances are im not gonna know what it is
IDK, maybe there was something like this before and it failed. :/
