Freegans... I know/have met quite a few and they were all sound and interesting people. I like the concept but I dunno if I could do that for extended amounts of time, but more power to them if they can do it happily.
Check out Slab City too for the odder side of this. Maybe more in common with SNH lol.

Freeganism's good for hard times and student life, I only really eat fresh stuff now so it's a bit useless for me (veg and fish, essentially ).
Slab city sounds nuts though, I remember an American girl telling me about it. No money around so attention from the government !

Good luck when the psychiatrically-challenged, drug-fucked & religious monomaniacs arrive.
Let alone the priapists, nymphomaniacs, urchins, sick, incontinent and aged.
That's when communal squatting becomes interesting.

That's true I think. Fuck preaching.
It's just I believe the sense of freedom would be good. At least worth experiencing. You'd really be in control of your own fate. Nobody's rules to follow. You wake up when you wake up because YOU have something to tend to, not because someone will give you shit if you don't. Also, the inescapable stream of information in today's society is stressful for me, if only because I lack the discipline to avoid it. I'm always looking at my fucking phone, checking webpages. It's not natural.
There is the possibility I'll pussy out real early and realize modern, comfortable living is far better, but I have to know either way.
