Yeah, don't listen to the ladies. Bigger is always better.

Re: Technical: Macbook upgrade or not?
Doesn't the new mac books offer zero opportunity to further upgrades once brought?
I'd buy a used one from 2011 ( I think thats the last easily expandable generation) and upgrade that .

Re: Technical: Macbook upgrade or not?
Clearly you don't know your macs either. The retina model is the one with glued in battery and flash storage. The older macbook pro is still available, and is just as upgradeable as ever. So why buy an old laptop with older processors when you can have a nice new one?legend4ry wrote:Doesn't the new mac books offer zero opportunity to further upgrades once brought?

Oh and to the idiots saying buy a pc, its not what the op is asking for!
Re: Technical: Macbook upgrade or not?
I'm the first person to admit I don't know a LOAD about macs - I used them for a few years in 08-11 but I am a windows/linux guy through and through, I offered my opinion from what I believed was the situation. I also questioned my own statement, and said I THINK, in my second.Gribble wrote:Clearly you don't know your macs either. The retina model is the one with glued in battery and flash storage. Should I educate you?
The correct response would of been something like.. You can still upgrade this gen macs, you mean the retina model with the glued in battery!
