what's the best way to achieve a juno 6-like bass sound, much like in this classic track? using only ableton stock vsts

also i've tried time and time again to create that huge bass sound used by dusky, gorgon city, maxxi soundsystem etc (i'm not implying that it's the same exact sound but you get the jist). i mean i get the basics, a square perhaps paired with a sine with a punchy envelope both in the synths and in the low pass filter but i just can't make it as huge and all-encompassing.

u know like the one in the chorus part of this track

This guy recreates the whole mr fingers track in ableton, ages since i watched it, but i think he uses the tal uno plugin (free) instead of ableton's synths, i could be wrong though.

Its basically a lowpassed square wave with chorus on, playing off pitched toms with a long release. Alot of the specific character comes from the classic roland chorus though, along with the compression and tape saturation.

The other bass sounds more like a lowpassed distorted 808 bass drum with a long release. or you could layer a square ontop of an 808 kick.

For size add chorus and compress heavily. Again a nice character compressor would be better (bootsy's free density III does nice things to the stereo image) but in ableton try the opto setting with a 8 or 9 to 1 ratio, fast attack, and play with the release.
