trying to choose some good speakers

Trying to get some speakers below $300 and im stuck between these and these
Anyone have any suggestions?

I assume you mean for monitoring?

People hate being told this but if your budget is that low and your room isn't treated, you're better off getting a nice set of headphones. Lesser of two evils.

Both of those are way less than ideal for monitoring, man. Did you look at any actual studio monitors?! Buy used and get something useful. I mixed on my hifi for a long time, but it was very very far from ideal. Or do as SunkLo suggests. 200 will get you very decent headphones.

Only consider those speakers if you have exhausted the suggestions above.
And only if you have a dependable reference system to compare to.

You want monitors mate not hi-fi speakers. For under $300 get a second hand pair off Mackies/Adams.

I got Mackie mrk 8.. and they go quite low.. they are very high quality. But you will need to treat your room.. I used the london kit.
