not to say the beat is too abstract, if that's the way you want it, roll with it. pan the shaker more and fix it, it's on some parts where it doesn't belong. it also sounds way cleaner than the pot/pan type percussion going on in the background, which is something you'll want to even out. shave off some high end with EQ (not too much) and add some saturation to keep it coming through the mix. the percussion overall needs more stuff, different hits, hi hats maybe or bongos coming in, maybe a tambourine sound as well. layer the kick to give it more punch, maybe layer some white noise, or find a lighter more clicky kick to combine it with. add more effects to keep things interesting, this could be anything from your original sample cut up and delayed with pitch modulation, or weird little beeps and bloops panned to different places. get creative. modulate that wob more so it changes up throughout the song, it sounds boring over and over. try experimenting with filters and eq modulation on it.

cool backbone for a track though, it has potential. a lot of the above instruction is partially opinion, but that's what i would do with it. also you need a sub bass, i thought maybe the sub was super low or something but after putting on my headphones and staring at your waveform it's actually just your kick. definitely get some sub going in there, that's what this sound is all about.

this is the kind of feedback most people would kill for, so enjoy it :) and next time post in the WIP thread (and don't forget to provide three feedbacks of your own), this section is for completed tracks.

and welcome to the site, i see it's your first post. see you around!
