What should probably be kept in mind is that Rubin produces and promotes *pop* music (which, probably to alot of this crowd, is a dirty word). That still doesn't make him any less prolific in what he does, though.

You gotta remember that Kid Rocks, Linkin Parks, and Slipknots of the world have enormous fanbases, despite what we may think of them as artists. And that's in no small part due to Rubin looking at that vast pool of talent out there and seeing what will work.

truth . Also ... lets not forget that Mars Volta Deloused In The Comatorium is on that list . Its only one of the most badass albums ever imho .
