Where to find a label?

Post by DonPadawan » Thu Jul 25, 2013 6:24 pm

Hey y'all!

I've been producing music for half and a year - on and off (during lack of time), and i think it would be time for me to find a label, for promoting my tracks.

...And I know that it's a bit early to look after promotion, but I'm building studio n stuff so I'm pretty ambitious about it, and think that my tracks deserves a little more attention.

It would really be appreciated if you guys could tell me where to look, cause' I don't got a clue :)

Thanks!

Get your music to DJ's.
You should want labels to find you when you are good enough, not the other way round.

I agree of some of what you're saying 10 bag.

defo send your stuff to djs, but there's nothing wrong with sending music to label owners in fact i'd recommend it.

i've been producing pretty intensely for over 3 years now. and especially in the start i was very ambitious and over that time i've sent my tracks to labels numerous times. but i kinda regret it and i've chosen to change my artist name in order to "clean my name" after that.. just make sure you're positively sure your tracks are ready.

also, ask yourself why do u need to have your stuff released? nowadays it's possible to get big with free diy bandcamp releases.. you can get gigs that way too, don't ever have to worry bout clearing samples etc.. let's face it you're not gonna get signed to hessle or deep medi anyway so why bother, it doesn't really impress anyone if you got a release on a tiny ass label..

Go ask in the production or dubs forum if you're not already released
