Drumstep - Unfinished! Feedback?

Post by Zeimarr » Tue Jul 30, 2013 8:18 pm

Hey Guys.

New to the forum, but was hoping to get some thoughts on the latest stuff i've been working on. Not been doing this for a very long while.
Not Finished track at all, need a lot of fill-ins. But would just like to hear some opinions about this beginning?

Cheers!

As someone said on soundcloud - work on that snare mate, sounds pretty bad - it's proper muddy!

Also, that main 'wobble synth', I'd spend a bit of time working on that, sounds REALLY REALLY basic - it's not a great sound and the modulation on it doesn't sound right. Maybe try using a few different synths and chop and change between them. The sythn you have might not sound so bad if it was used less, like as stabs with other synths arranged around it?

Yeah likes it's been said before that snare could use a lot of work. Not sure why there isn't much high end on it at all. Did you eq that out?
