I honestly don't actually know what genre this is. All I know is that it is 140bpm. There is a nice change up near the end:D

Listened until the end, no regrets

Great tune, great work, 'sept I don't like the snare

Thank you, it means a lot:) can you suggest a way of improving the snare?

layer the snare with other sounds, it needs some depth. Could use some reverb etc.

The 'snare' gets lost in the mix and sounds out of place.

Okay, thanks very much for the feedback.

I generally don't overuse reverb on the drum track. They seem to get lost in the mix even more when I apply too much reverb. I have already applied a short-decay, small-room reverb to the snare but any more reverb than that makes it sound muddy. I generally use reverb on instruments that I want to be placed further back in the mix.

Surely some more selective EQing or sidechaining would be more beneficial?

Nice one! I like this :) Nice melody lines, nice breakbeat, nice wobbly sounds. Not too big a fan of the tempo change, bit it can be worse ;)
