Recently I've noticed myself becoming one of those "music was better in my days" type of guys. I really wanna shake off this attitude and I have faith that you guys can help me
I've just dipped my toe into dubstep, and have came across a few awesome Milanese tunes. They are all from the Extend & Adapt albums. I like them because they're a bit darker and I don't really like commercial sounding Skrillexy / Transformers Jizzing kind of stuff. With electronic music I tend to prefer stuff with less vocals or vocal effects rather than singing or rapping/mc'ing. Distorted/twisted/nasty and experimental is always a good thing (I'm a Chris Clark fan if you know him?).
Mr Ion is awesome, with great melodies, great scratchy bass sounds, great vocals that are used as a sound rather than a song.
I love Barry Dub, which is just pure grim sounding.
Dead Man Walking with Virus Syndicate I really like. The vocals and lyrics have attitude and I like the FX on the vocals. The bassy drone throughout is fucking bad-ass.
So Malleable is another one, some good ol' nasty sounds in Peggy Flynn III, then of course the Clark remix of Mr Bad News which always helps me wind down after a hard day
From looking around on discogs Milanese seems to have vanished, so do any of you guys have any recommendations of artists / tracks for me to listen to please?
