Soundcloud

Probably the best music I've made yet, after a good 2 year break. Any comments or critique would be awesome.

Track is sounding very cluttered, like a lot of the elements are fighting for the same space in the mixdown?

Well, that was the first rendering and I didn't put too much effort into mixing. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll be more careful with it. Would you say the fix is just EQing out any stray frequencies from the midrange sounds, or is the issue more with the drums?

one thing you could definitely do for a quick fix is resample the synths on the buildup, making sure that you cut out all the tail end/reverb. The result is that the buildup won't bleed into the drop, and consequently, the drop will have a lot more power. easy peasy

Duly noted. I'm replacing the audio file on Soundcloud with a new rendering as we speak. I think it sounds a bit better. I did notice a few little pops and clicks strewn around the audio, but I'm assuming that's a problem with my sound card.
