Bloodied Blade accepting DEMOS

Post by nozl » Mon Sep 10, 2007 9:15 am

I know it has been a long wait for some of the people eagerly emailing in about the release, but finally, we are pleased to announce that the record is now available worldwide. It is available directly from the NozL site (http://www.nozl.co.uk) for £4!!!! (plus an additional £2 for delivery to uk, £2.60 to Europe, and £4 to the rest of the world.)

It will be available at other online stores aswell from October 1st if you want to pick up a few records up at once, and of course it will be available in actual local human shops around the world through SRD distribution. :-)

The release date has had to be moved from 10-9-07 to 1st October 2007 due to a repress being needed! (copies are available on www.nozl.co.uk though for anyone who wants the vinyl immediately)

Here's the blurb:

LONE WOLF Presents: The Tale of The "Rivers Of Shaolin"
BLOODIED BLADE
NOZ002

1 The Plague
2 Slayed By Shadows
3 Uproot

some quotes:

One of the heaviest pieces of vinyl we've had the pleasure to lay our ears on recently. Essential' - ATM

'This vinyl is intense! Bloodied Blade come with a totally original sound unlike anyone else. Essential listening for anyone looking for something new and different' - Youngsta (BMSOHO/FWD/Tempa)

'Lone Wolf's vinyl debut 'The Plague' sees the rising dubstep producer in fine form, serving up grinding guitar riffs, industrial strength beats and some seriously sick bassline pressure. Wicked stuff' - Knowledge/iDJ

Here's the trailer for a refresher:

DEMOS

Bloodied Blade is now accepting DEMOS, so send your tracks to info@nozl.co.uk with the email subject heading "DEMO - (then put your artist name)"

Make sure you rename your mp3 so that your contact email is there aswell as the track title and your artist name. Although we will listen to every track we receive, we don't have time to give feedback to everyone... but we will try our best to do as many as we can.

Also, make sure the mix-down is to the best of your ability, and that the track is of a 320 mp3 quality. If you have a few to send, please put them in a zip file, do not send a load of individual links, unless it is only one tune you are sending. Finished versions only please.

Good luck.

Cheers Mr. Cee!

We've just made our first proper contact with the immigration agent about the Oz move last week. We're just filling in some prelim forms at the minute then we're gonna book in our two hour consultation in the next few weeks. Exciting stuff.

If folk are wondering why only the promo copies of Rivers of Shaolin have been in the shops and online stores so far when the release date had been set to 10-9-07. This is because the pre-orders from shops via our SRD have exceeded the amount initially pressed. Bloodied Blade has had to do a repress on it, and the new release date is 1st October in stores. There are a few copies available directly on the NozL Recordings site though. www.nozl.co.uk

So get on it man!!!!

finally i got my copy!
have to say this is the sickest release i got in my case.

the drop in 'the plague' is just sooo heavy, i loove the sample used in 'slayed by shadows' and that this machine gun snare...

'uproot' is very good as well, perfect example of how to use the apache sound in dubstep! ;)
BIG UP LONE WOLF, cant wait for NOZL003!

Just a quick note to say that the full line of presses for 'Rivers of Shaolin' are out as of MONDAY 1ST OCTOBER. So if you didn't manage to get a copy in either of the two upront promo runs in stores, you can get it from 1st October!!!

www.nozl.co.uk stock it as always (£4 for the vinyl (!!!) £2 delivery uk, £2.60 Europe, £4 rest of the world.

We're putting together NOZ003 at the minute, so make sure you get NOZ002!!!!

Thanks to the people who have sent tracks in so far. Tune recruitment for Bloodied Blade is an ongoing thing, so keep sending your new tracks to info@nozl.co.uk whenever you like. New producers, more established producers, whoever... we'll be listening to everything that comes in.

Cheers.
