Bullshit pirate topics?

People don't "Wants. To. Pay. For." anything, they would like to get everything for free if they could.
And good artists should get paid somehow so they could SURVIVE. Having a full time job (that is not art) and being an artist in the same time doesn't work very well.
Money is not what people want, but what people NEED.
But honestly, I'm a hypocrite.

Disagree with this - on Bandcamp I'll often pay a couple of £ for a tune/EP if I think it's worth it, even if the option to Pay-What-You-Like (i.e. nothing) is available.

So because you thieve music, therefore everyone does?

More than 50% of the world, yeah. Except for the USA/UK/Germany, people don't really see it like stealing.

So not everyone does. And you're speaking very generally when you say 'people...don't really see it like stealing". Not all people for all types of music, and probably not many of the people on this forum.
Which artists/labels do you pirate then, for example within Dubstep? Have you contact the artists involved and asked if they consider if stealing?

I do consider it stealing and I do consider myself as a bad man for doing it. But without piracy I wouldn't even be here making tunes, discussing this.

So using cracked copies of production software is justification for stealing music as well?

Did I ever say I justify stealing music. I don't justify stealing/piracy.

So why do it?

Since I have no money to spend on sample packs, programs and VSTs (life is bad here and I'm 15) I wouldn't be able to do what I love.
I would probably buy an original copy of Ableton when I get older and actually make some money on my own (If I continue with this until then).

Or you could use free software...VSTs, Reaper, etc. Same with samples, no one says you have to use to the ones that cost money, there are enough free resources out there.

I do want to stop stealing but at the same time I don't want to switch from ableton or massive. Or yeah, delete all these amazing sample packs I have on my PC.
My will for not stealing programs is not strong enough.
Like I said it would be a beautiful world if people could get shit for free and developers still getting money.
EDIT: Actually I'm lost.

Yeah, god forbid you actually have to do work or....lord, have mercy!...exercise some self control in not stealing stuff.
You're coming across like just another bedwetter brostep producer whose concept of entitlement is skewed.

This further illustrates the above.

This is all a bit "Grownups r dumb, they don't understand". Are you trying to justify piracy still?

I'm quite curious how you would feel if people pirate your music say if you released it on a label. Any input on this?

It's not "Grownups don't understand", grownups also pirate. Now I'm trying to explain why am I doing it even if I know it's a bad thing.
So brostep is like bad dubstep?
@Marcus: I didn't really think about it as a bad thing until I started making tunes. Yeah.

Which is a redundant argument anyway you look at it if there are resources available that are free.
It's like justifying stealing a nice car because you don't want the free one that is offered to you when you're learning to drive.

This so much, quit trying to justify your greed when you know it's wrong and even more so as a producer.

you're 15, you don't need to be a music producer. If you can't afford to be one, then don't be one. little tnuc, go and play in the park with your friends or something little nob
