New color scheme pleaaaase. I know you can switch back to prosilver but I like the new layout, just not the palette, it makes my eyes bleed.

Any chance of having a theme remix competition or something so we can make a few other color schemes?

The text formatting is fucked as well. Looks too big and crammed. Smaller font size would go a long way. Might have to do with that big sidebar that's taking up a lot of screen space. No need to make it that thick when it's just telling you who's online n shit. Could make the whole thing wider too, there's an inch of wasted space on both sides of my screen.

Not digging white on white post boxes and buttons. That panel behind posts should be grey and buttons and quote boxes should have a bit more contrast. Or just use the blue background and get rid of that outside white container.

Biggups buttons are crucial but I don't seem to see them in prosilver?

maybe a different color to the stickied threads could be useful for a quick overlook (or some other sort of visual distinction)

maybe choose more subtle colors? they're all kinda strong which is not so comfortable for reading

otherwise it looks great, big up

text looks too big/ stretched imo

colours are a bit garish

side bar on right could be a bit smaller

being a dick aside doesn't seem too bad big up button pretty cool idea and several of the other new things seem pretty good, just could do with some work on the aesthetics imo

I'd also put the report/quote/biggup buttons under the post title instead of on the side because otherwise it cuts off the title and forces it to wrap. Putting all that in a darker container would help separate it from the actual post content as well. Same for sigs maybe? The little avatar container section looks good though.

The white on white and text size are what's really killing it for me though. Everything's just a big white wash with bloated text. All the contrast was spent on the background and sidebar. Changing that back white panel behind the posts to a grey would do a lot to break up all the white. Same for all the buttons, a light grey would do. Same for title boxes, the little forum rules box at the top, etc. If you go into the full post editor, underneath the submit buttons there's a little options box that has contrast. Same idea for everything else but a lighter grey.

Also, I think having red thread icons for unread posts would work better than yellow.

All in all though, got some serious potential if those few problems are cleaned up. Could end up being a really slick theme. :corndance:

Literal biggups for this! I'm no CSS wizard but I'll definitely have a swing. I know there's some bonafide design ninjas who would be on board too.

Dubway you dong, I'll pay you 10 us dollar if you make subsilver available again.
The new layout is not bad, but I'd like the old one. I was browsing the forum for 2 minutes on prosilver and my cat started throwing rocks at the screen.

Could you explain what do you mean by "doesn't work as well"? This is a responsive layout (adaptive to all screen sizes and devices) -- old prosilver isn't... so it should work better on mobile.
A neutron walks into a bar; he asks the bartender, 'How much for a beer?' The bartender looks at him, and says 'For you, no charge.'

the whole screen is smaller and squashed together. makes for a lot more scrolling just to see 1 post. that and to get to your viewed posts you have to scroll all the way to the bottom

I absolutely hate it. I like the layout and all but my good, way toooooooo bright. Can we please have a black background for those of use who browse late night? Also the text is very....weird looking. And like others said it's really small, especially for those of us on big monitors, this new layout takes only about %35 of my screen and the rest of it is that really bright cyan background. (to make it worse, its not even centered properly :()

The point is, it's too small and WAYY TO BRIGHT.

I welcome change but this hurts.

All "boxes" from the sidebar goes at the bottom when screen size is small and that's intentional. But we could provide a button at the top in that case for "fast forward" scrolling to the bottom....

In the context of "long" posts: there is some space to get from margins, but that's it: horizontal scroller is not an option.
