Hey, I was wondering how to create the sort of reversed punchy percussive sound used a lot by glitch hop producers such as KOAN sound and such.

It can be heard in the second of these two previews at 1:13 onwards:

Anyone have any ideas? It seems to enhance the bass sound quite a lot due to some mid frequencies being present.

Didn't listen to the link, but if it's what I think you're refering to; i'd say simply a reversed kick or tom and maybe pitched up slightly??
