Interesting sound design on here, but felt the mixdown could do with another look...the kick is hitting a lot more in the mix than the rest of the elements around it at times.

Maybe the kick is just a bit too loud in the sub-bass range?

Depends what frequency you've got them both hitting at...it's as much about creating room for the kick with the other elements, TBH. Solo the kick & sub in turn, have a listen, maybe run them through a spectral analyser to lock in on the frequencies etc.
