Need help majorly please!

Post by ltaggy123 » Fri Sep 13, 2013 12:33 pm

Hello everyone, I am posting this in desperate need of help. I have been working on a song and it may possibly be my best tune yet, and iv been producing for a year and a half so far. It sounds perfect and amazing in fl studio, but when i export it, to my desktop it sounds terrible. Its almost like the quality decreases or something. Is there anyone that could help me sort this out?

What are you export settings? I'm not familiar with FL but in my DAW you choose the bit depth, sample rate, dither, etc. Make sure you choosing the right ones.

How does it sound terrible? Are you exporting to 24bit wav? Are you listening on the same setup that you produce on?

Like everyone said, make sure you're not clipping on the master. Check your export settings. Can you upload a screenshot of your export page? Is the wav/mp3 format you're exporting to supported in the software you're playing it back in?

See that HQ for All Plugins setting? Try unchecking that and exporting again. This can sometimes do weird shit, sounds fine in FL, export and it all sounds off. I don't know if this has changed in newer versions, but previously that HQ setting only kicked in at export.
