[FL11] Tempo automation canceling delay effect

Post by Patchwirk » Thu Sep 19, 2013 6:31 pm

So I'v e been working on a song that has tempo automation and delay involved, and in short, the former is canceling the latter when it comes into play. I have an intro, with a bass that has Fruity Delay 2 stuck on it's mixer channel at 8 beats IIRC. It plays during the intro and the bridge.

During the bridge, the tempo changes from 128 to 110, and the moment the automation occurs, the delay effect on the bass is canceled. What might be causing this and how can I fix it? I do not currently have the song with me so I cannot post the issue in sound form.
I make music, and I came here to discuss it. If you want to hit me up on skype, its jimbo_tulpa_slice, and my FB is Logan Patchwirk Winterhelt.

Also, why do people always put Skrillex and deadmau5 together and think it would be awesome, it wouldn't.

Known limitation.

- Echoes may break up if there is tempo automation, due to a limitation in the delay engine (the buffer has to be rebuilt to match the tempo).

Maybe try a 3rd party delay plugin?

You could bounce out the delay with the tempo change disabled, use the "fit to tempo" tool on the bounced out delay clip, and it should automatically stretch when you reenable the tempo change.
But yeah I'd try a 3rd party delay plugin first.
