I'm probably up for it.

(btw I think people may be missing the thread as it's in this area not the main forum - I know this is the new area for these sorts of things but that may be why people aren't entering)

Agreed.

Imo the competitions are an important part of the production forum.
Moving it to a sub-section has made it seem irrelevant.

I'd disagree, by giving the contests their own space we're giving them more priority by removing from the general clutter of the main Production group.

It will work if folks start using the sub section more.
For now it seems to detract from the competitions.

Sound Design was slow to get going as well. Suggest we have regular threads in main Production talking about the contests and directing people in here to view/enter them.

That's a good idea.
We need to make sure folks are redirected here often enough.

Well, W I T F is the point of moving these threads out of production if you've got to go back into production and put threads in there bringing people to these threads here.

I say, because I ONLY noticed this contest in the sample contest thread, to which gremlins have unsubscribed me or something, cause I wasn't getting email updates of all of your (plural) devilish thoughts.

That is not true ^. I noticed this thread in production, I thought that production thread was a post in the sample contest thread. Don't look at me like that.

Because people need directing until the change becomes second nature. Our intention is for the Production group to grow, having a seperate section for contests is a step toward that.

Right on. What was that other thread that you spun off? Sound design or dubs? Did they take off outside of production?

Sound Design...the sub forum we have dedicated to that is doing well.
