Looking to expand the festival calender a little more in 2014, anyone got any recommendations for smaller/'boutique' festivals with an electronic music leaning?
Thinking stuff like;
ClubToClub (Italy)
Echo (Croatia)
Dekmantel (Amsterdam)
etc
Preferably multi day events so can make a bit of a holiday out of it.

Dekmantel (Amsterdam)
That's not a certainty yet I think.
Into the Woods in my hometown is good as well. Although both will probably require some luck when trying
to buy tickets. They are like 4000 visitors max.
Very few multi day events that take place on one terrain and are that small.

I was just about to post Decibel Fest. If you ever make it over to Seattle it happens every September. Multiple venues around the city but most of them are in walking distance on Capitol Hill.

DUDE... the lineup for Decibel this year looked really interesting - great variety. (MKS, I know you were front & center for Moby's set.

)
Srsly tho - Juan Atkins and JG Thirlwell in the same festival?! Plus Lorn, Evian Christ, Lusine, Vessel, Beacon...

If I went this year I probably would have been. Have you seen the size of his drum machine collection?

i didnt go this year but all my mates said gottwood was really good and it seemed to have a good lineup aswell, definetly on that next year.
I was gonna go to beacons and i know a few people who went but they said it wasnt that great and that there wasnt really anywhere to hang out or anything to do apart from listening to music. Personally at a festival I dont wanna spend my entire time chasing a lineup, its all about having nice places to hang out aswell as good music. that said the lineup did look really good
Free rotation is the one as far as quality music and small friendly vibe goes, but obviously getting a ticket is the hard part. My local one is nozstock and its always really good, might be cos most of my mates from home are always there tho. Got a fair amount of electronic music there, lots of dnb usually and tribe of frog do a stage catering for the crusty psy types. generally just a good vibe and nice people with lots of fun things around the place
