I'm planning to buy a pair of Yamaha HS7/HS8 studio monitors and a Yamaha HS8S woofer in the near future.
Due to my lack of knowledge with speakers and outboard audio can anyone explain to me what sort of cables I will need and what sort of audio interface will work best for hooking these speakers up to my PC.
Cheers.

Re: Monitor Setup Question
Assuming these are the back connections;

You'll need either XLR 3-31 input plugs (the big ones, input 1) or phono 1/4" jacks (input 2, smaller silver hole).
Any audio interface should be fine to use with these, then you'll need to get the relevant cables. I'd recommend an audio interface with phono outputs, personally, as this will keep the costs down and mean the cables you need to get (phono on both ends) are more easily available (XLR 3-31 cables/convertors are a bit more expensive and less easy to find).

Re: Monitor Setup Question
I have the Yamaha HS80M's. I made my own XLR(speaker) to 1/4 inch jack (audio interface) cables.
