dark music - no electronic, hiphop, or vocals
So around this time of year with things getting colder and the nights having a different vibe than summer nights, I really enjoy listening to Dimmu Borgir's album Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia.
Especially around 4:18, with the piano.
Around 1:30.
1:01 again with piano. and at 5:03 the atmospheric stuff is nice too.
at 2:35, the vocals especially
really great guitar riffs, more great clean vocals, pretty much the whole song is a good example of what I'm looking for
So I'm just asking for recommendations of any kind of music that has a similar feeling to these parts, whether its solo piano, a symphonic/orchestral thing, or a metal band, preferably not another black metal band unless they're instrumental and the production isn't obnoxious. I absolutely love the guitar parts, minor chord sound(?), chromatic riffs, and the dark symphonic layers, but the production ruins it for me a lot of the time, especially if the drums and vocals sound like shit. I love blast beats and I can imagine how the vocals might really compliment the music (I kinda like the vocals of Wolves in the Throne Room), but it's hard to find a band that isn't fatiguing to listen to, where I can hear the notes of the guitar and not just noise.
Also I'm really interested in finding classical/orchestral stuff or all acoustic stuff for the tremolo guitar riffs that are typical of black metal.
And not like Impaled Northern Moonforest XD
tl;dr: stuff that sounds like black metal without the vocals or drums?

Only loosely related to the OP and way colder and starker and uhh sorry but, waay better. But no harsh vocals on this album yay
Tho sorry OP but you should just get used to harsh vocals tbh.
