Baptistina X (Brostep?)

Hey,
Just looking for feed back for this tune. I guess its brostep, I'm never sure.
Anyway I tried something interesting with the main growl bass, that was to split the mid from the sides and have additional fx chain on the sides that I could switch on and off and modulate etc (High pass > Formant filter > distortion on the sides). I hadn't read or heard of doing this before so I wonder if anyone else had tried anything similar.
