R1. Techno/House

Jamie Haus - https://soundcloud.com/amijamiehaus

We first met Jamie when we did a Sessions Faction mix with him a few months ago, since then we have discovered Jamie to be in our opinion one of the tightest producers coming through at the moment, with a meticulous groove running through his beats we're excited to see what Jamie will bring to Haus on the 22nd.

Allen & Hutch - https://soundcloud.com/allenandhutch

Having got abit heavy at the last Less Effect we decided we enjoyed their selection so much that we've invited them back for round 2. Without the influence of Josh playing b2b, expect a well crafted set drawing from a deep love of techno, there's a reason this DJ duo is held in such high esteem in Liverpool

Truth Be Told - https://soundcloud.com/truth-be-told-tbt

The production trio hailing from just outside of Liverpool have been going from strength to strength lately. Locking Less Effect down with their residents slot these guys know how to get a party going, they have recently released their Too Much Time EP (https://soundcloud.com/truth-be-told-tb ... ch-time-ep) which has been getting support from the likes of Richie Hawtin & DJ Caspa.

Toby Chang - https://soundcloud.com/tobychang

Less Effect resident Toby Chang provides a blend of rhythm and bass designed to get a warehouse moving. Drawing from house, techno and baseline influences you can expect to hear a bouncing set that will keep you on the dancefloor

Josh Hewitt - https://soundcloud.com/just-hewitt

Muted Audios Josh Hewitt certainly plays to our deeper darker edge as Less Effect resident. Pushing techno to the edge of what is considered pleasurable listening, don't worry if it sounds like the Funktion1 system is about to melt on the 22nd, thats normal.

R2. Dubstep/Grime/Bass

Horus - https://soundcloud.com/horushere

Docka - https://soundcloud.com/dockauk

This guys productions go in hard! Raw basslines and hard percussive riddims matched in intensity by his dj style, we're excited to have this local talent involved

Horza - https://soundcloud.com/horza

The Rihanna of grime. The standard the man has set for himself is next level, noone knows how to switch a bassline like Horza!

Lack - https://soundcloud.com/lackmusic

Less Effect resident Lack is pushing dubstep like its 2005. Cutting dub plates of his own heavy weight productions and playing vinyl only, his selections blends classic 140 with whats good in 2013. FWD sound in Liverpool.

Pidge - https://soundcloud.com/innocentcivilan

With a love of music influenced from Radiohead to DMZ, Matt has an enthusiasm for heavy sub basslines and spaced out percussion, there's a good chance either Skream or Prince vinyls will be in the bag

Power - https://soundcloud.com/michael-david-power

Less Effect Resident Mike Power fits in with our musical ethos perfectly. With a broad vinyl collection and love of deep dark rhythms you don't want to miss on this guys selection
