Putting my time on the bench at work to good use, I have devised this scale to aid potential purchasers of confectionery in their decision. Sick of going for the “luxury” sweets, but feeling unfulfilled? Sick of feeling hungry and having to go for filling, but tasteless snacks?

No longer. Hope you can put this to good use.



No neckbeard comments about 90% cocoa chocolate or whatever. This is for the average hungry man or woman on the street.

Kitkat Chunky Peanut Butter or Reese's Cups. Been really enjoying the peanut butter based chocolate recently

I like some lindt 70%.

To start with, we created a spreadsheet with solid values on (out of 10). Chunky got a 10 substance, 8 taste. Highest taste were Galaxy Ripple and Twirl.

Depends on the picnic... the chocolate chip one's actually pretty tasty. I've never fancied a Picnic though... only ever had one as a last resort because it was all that was in my Mum's cupboard and then realised they're actually pretty great.

There's a whole range of sweets that fall into the "Mum's Cupboard" category. For me, they are: Kit Kat, Twix, Crunchie, Drifter. The sweets you'd never buy individually at the shop, but your mom drew for the multi-pack, and you appreciate their greatness.

Aeros rarely last more than a few bites. Maltesers enforce at least the illusion by being many and individual.

Because they're the only sweet I've known that is magic. You can consistently draw for M&Ms for a good hour before they seem to finally run out. Scientists don't actually know how many M&Ms are in a packet.

Fastbreaks are definitely a once a week at most bar.
