Tempo vs "Fillieness"

So here's this weird thing I've noticed.
Take this WiP I just uploaded here
Soundcloud
Either it's me or the 105BPM drop (1st) feels a lot more "fuller" than the 140BPM (2nd) one? I mean, I know I didn't add or remove anything in either track, it's just that at the slower (140) speed, there's like "something missing" IMO.
(Also I have a bad feeling people are just going to ask me about the Reese and Snare, so just yeah I'll explain that if anyone wants me to explain that bad.)

They both sound phat to me dude, it's probably since the drums in the 105 one are faster it seems like a lot more is coming at you.

^ For example, some additional hi-hats between kick and snare could give more filled out vibe to 140bpm section without radically changing the drum pattern.

Jungle sounds faster than DnB because the drums are more complicated, lazy DnB producers just crank the tempo up but it means no-one can dance to it

The one at 140bpm is in half time. Therefore everything is spaced out in a way that gives it a sort of feel comparable to 70bpm which makes it feel more spaced out and slower compared to the 110bpm version even though it is infact faster. The only way to change it is to program a more busy rhythm that takes the emphasis away from the beats 1 and 3 centric feel that style of dubstep has.

yeah as mentioned, the 140 bpm bit has more space, and needs more stuff to feel equally as filled out as the 105 bpm bit.
Might be a bad example, but imagine watching some random scene from a movie where a dude eats a cake or whatever, in slow motion it's boring as hell, nothing's really happening, but in normal speed it's like whatever, just another scene. Hope that was not confusing, I didn't have too much sleep last night.. haha
