Quinton - Overdub [future garage]

Post by smoothcriminal12 » Wed Dec 04, 2013 2:53 am

Hey guys...I'm new here. This is track I made called Overdub, more on the future garage side of things...anyways. Hope you all enjoy it! Tell me what you think!

Once it gets into it, its a nice chilled tune. I'd suggest adding some percussion in the intro and change it up a bit to make it more interesting, and maybe add a high synth or bell like instrument to the drop or at 1:50 to add a bit more high end. Keep up the work :W:

Nice little number this. Didn't enjoy the into much, but liked the nice spacious minimal feel to the drop. Agreed it will need something else to make it more interesting, a bit of melodic content here and there.

Now get involved giving feedback to other's ;-)

yeah te drop the best part; otherwise , a little too minimal for me, but that might work perfecly in a mix.

i enjoy the vibes from this... but that intro needs some work for the drop to work well. are the hats intentionally distorted? can't tell if they're clashing or are getting 'muddied' out. nice bass too, could do with a punchier kick

Not feeling the intro, but the minimal sound with the vocal sample is a nice match. I think you could benefit from some transitions in that silence to tie everything together. Certainly not a bad track by any means. Good luck.

+1 on the intro, found it hard to fight the temptation to skip it.

Drop is nice though, I reckon it is perhaps OVERLY minimal though. Some new elements could be introduced at various points throughout the drop. Would keep up the interest and spice things up.
Melodic deepness from my mind.
