Like I said I would, I want to know if its sounding too generic? I still have to add filler, finish the drums, add subs, I just would like some feedback before i finish and everyone hates it
Soundcloud
Note: Would a flanger/chorus/phaser make the audio track sound less generic?

Man, ok the last thread kinda got train wrecked and took out of proportion, I have yet to listen to your new track but I just wanna say this, there's listening to feedback and criticism, then there's letting others completely write your tracks for you. If something sounds good to you, do it. Stop letting other people influence your tracks so much, make what YOU think sounds good bro. Don't let others get you down and if they do, get back up twice as strong. Don't take what I'm saying here the wrong way as it's supposed to be advice. Don't worry so much about sounding generic if that's the sound you want man. I'll give it a listen in a minute. Safe.

I get what you're saying man and I appreciate it, granted, the track that was in the last thread wasn't all that good so the criticism on it was to be expected, So far with the little ive done to this, I do feel happy about it, I just feel like its been done a million times you know? I have an original sound, that's what I try to do, I'm not trying to be skrillex or excision or whatever, I want to be original, that's the point of this thread in particular.

Sorry bro had to do some stuff. Anyway just finished listening to your track, the first part is quite nice, nice rising synth. Then the drums come in, first thing I think is the kick is a bit too loud, snare isn't really very punchy. Drum work is very erratic, kinda nice. Your arrangement is getting better. The drop is kinda weird, assuming that is the drop. Pure arp is kinda strange. But you're getting there man. Keep at it.
