Goals
- Visit at least three countries I've not been to before
- Get to 215lbs
- Self release an EP
- Read a book a week
- Go out and listen to new music at least once a month
- Visit Bristol
Making myself accountable by putting these out into the public domain. Resolutions are for fat people and Communists.
Anyone else?

Easily quantifiable.
gwa wrote:go to india and japan for a few months
How much is that going to cost all in vs. how much do you have saved at the moment?
gwa wrote:buy more trainers
Nice
How many extra pairs, like 5, 10 etc?

A little vague and hard to really say whether they've done or not. What do you consider to be the main cause of your procrastination? Is it a lack of motivation in a given area, or too many distractions in other areas?

How many more tunes?
And how many times a year/month do you want to go out?
(that last one has reminded me of something I told myself I'd do, have updated OP, cheers

)

- Graduate in my masters
- Get full time graduate job
EDIT: Somehow fit in a part-time language course (German probably)
- Save money each month rather than spend every single penny every month (most likely won't happen)

nothing specific, it just takes me ages to make a tune so i want to try and better my workflow. i'm happy with the music i make though, i enjoy listening to it.
and as for the going out thing, i always moan about sitting in on fridays/saturdays, when i could be going out. idk why i do it!
to be fair its nice having chilled weekends sometimes

got enough to go for around 8-9 months if were saying a G a month and flights but i doubt i'll be gone for that long. see how it works out, won't be booking a return flight when i book my outgoing.
trainers vary month to month with what gets released. if there's nothing i like then i won't buy!

So you don't feel you would benefit from putting an actual amount on it (for example, a tune a month or something)?

I agree that forcing yourself out the house isn't always preferable, much as I enjoy a weekend on the sofa or in front of the computer from time to time. However, getting out is always a good thing. When you say going out, do you mean to listen to music, to go walking in the country, into town for drinks etc?

That's a pretty balling amount of savings, reckon you do it right you can live well for that. Have you looked into flight cost variations based on the seasons etc?
gwa wrote:also i will visit bristol in the new year!!!!
HAHAHA, yeah I need to do that as well I reckon. Added to the OP

So;
- What area(s) do you want to move into?
- What skills/qualifications do you perhaps need to think about getting to allow for such a move (if any)?
- Have you updated your CV recently?
