Have heard these types of airy growly sounds in several tunes by different people now.
Just heard it in this tune, at 0:27:
Soundcloud
Really interesting, cant figure out how these types of sounds are made, especially the "airiness" in them? Tried mixing in a noise osc with some growly bass in massive but didnt get similar results, dont know what I'm doing wrong.
Can anybody help me get on the right path with this?
Have no clue. Is it some kind of chorus or detune that creates this airy effect or what is it?
Sorry if my english was wierd at some point, my second language

Wow that was the biggest resample use I've ever heard.
That part at :27 is taken from Koan Sounds "The Edge"...
With that said, I too am wondering about this sound
EDIT: high passed reese, real dirty kind? Thinking probably thrown in like a Rough Math or something into the mix?

That's closer than I got, thanks for your time! I'm referring to the "waaam" at 0:04, that kicks in on the 3 - after the fast wobble. NMSV would be great, or just an explanation.
Still something about that airiness that sounds different though, kind of like air when you're screaming but whispering
what am I on about

Thought so too but that sounds really lame when I do it. Plus if you distort it the white noise distorts and creates a wierd sound.

maybe he threw his bass into trash and than eq'd the highs up. doesn't have much low frequencies.
