Help with some turntable setup questions

Hey I am looking into buying a new turntable to sample some vinyl records into Ableton.

My set up is currently a MacBook Pro connected to a FocusRite Scarlett 2i4 which is connected to my VXT6 monitors.

My question is how would I connect a turntable so that I could both 1. listen to records through my monitors, and 2. record audio from the turntable into Ableton?

I would like to avoid USB turntables. I would prefer a belt drive turntable with a phono preamp built-in. But how would I connect a turntable with a built-in preamp to my Scarlett 2i4? Is this possible? If so, what cables would I need to purchase? Thanks in advance.

You can figure this out by reading the manual to your gear and knowing what kind of inputs are on the interface and outputs on the TT/amp. But a stereo rca to quarter inch cable will sort you.

If you're using it for sampling why are you avoiding a USB TT?

cause most of what I've read about USB turntables sounds like there are some quality issues with them. If I'm gonna drop a lot of money on a table I want the best sound ya know
