Lets talk 'Neo Soul Keys'

I have been sitting on the fence about this one lately.

For the new year I re-arranged the studio and got my actual keyboard out putting time into learning how to play (again).

I am pretty obsessed with e-pianos though my budget doesn't let me buy a Rhodes or a Wurli, Lounge Lizard is GREAT, I even upgraded to version 4 but I keep seeing these Neo Soul Keys and they sound PERFECT. Is it an illusion?

Does anyone have hand-on experience? I got the free app for my ipad but I can imagine its not even a quarter as good as the real product (and the Ipad version is good, though not better than Lounge Lizard).

Is there anything better?

For those who don't know :

To what end though? LLv4 honestly sounded really good to me, and in a mix I'm sure it could hold its own. I think advances in actual playing technique would probably pay bigger dividends than a new product. EP's are known as expressive instruments, so expressing through them is the key. I'm often fine with just creating a sine organ when all things are said and done. The song is of paramount importance to me now.

This isn't much input, but I thought I'd help get the ball rolling here, as it is likely to be uphill the whole way.

I was lucky enough to play a original Wurlitzer in the summer (with its original amp and EVERYTHING) and it was, man... Sometimes when I am feeling sad I think about playing simple chords on that thing. It sounded better than perfect. Lounge Lizard sounds lifeless when you're NOT using it expressionately. Often times you have to cut the low end out of it and put in a high end saturated sub in the 200hz range to smoothen it out but keep it thick.

Neo Soul seems to get rid of this? Though, how can we do tell via youtube videos, innit?

Yeah, honestly AAS's demo videos for LLv4 sounded really good to me. I'm getting over my addiction to sound though, and am successfully focusing on song writing. There was a time (years) when I could (and did) spend hours and hours just listening to sounds.

I've never really vibed with a kontakt instrument. But I'm still on like 3.5, never upgraded. I'm sure the new stuff is better... but.

So, I have a serial for Lounge Lizard Sessions or some lite version (came with my Korg Micro Keys). Is it worth downloading. I've heard a little buzz about it, but I hate cluttering up my tools with things I dont use. I do love some Rhodes and Mellotron...

The rhodes is an analog electric instrument not capable of many different voicings. Again, it is the playing technique more than anything that distinguishes it.
