I'm hitchhiking to Eureka the next town over tonight.
and I get picked up by this women, Eizabeth who after our brief conversation confesses to be a firm believer in the word of the lord. I share with her my name, Steven De Rosa, her face lights up, and she decides to make a detour to her house for a very important reason. we enter her lovely home, it reeks of ginger bread and cookies, she digs around in her closet for a moment, I look down in the living room, there it is, Jesus on the carpet, she hands me a thick leather bound copy of the "living" bible. I thank her, and ask what would be a good place for a young man to start, she marks a few pages, and on the way into town the strangest thing happens. This women 72 years old, asks "have you ever heard of Kendrick Lamar?" stunned, I replay "Yes, he's amazing! That album 'Good Kid, mA.A.d city is going to win best album at the grammies this year!" I can't believe this women, never imagined one album could reach the corners of my town all the way to the most major of stages, and people still love it, over and over again, more and more everyone still loves "G.K.M.C." it's a phenomenon that may never be replaced, it's something everyone agrees on. and how does it start...
LORD GOD, I COME TO YOU A SINNER,
AND I HUMBLY REPENT FOR MY SINS,
I BELIEVE JESUS IS LORD,
I BELIEVE YOU RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD,
I ASK THAT JESUS COMES INTO MY LIFE,
AND BE MY LORD AND SAVIOR,
I RECEVE JESUS TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY LIFE,
AND THAT I MAY LIVE FOR HIM FROM THIS DAY FORTH,
THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR SAVING ME WITH YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD,
IN JESUS NAME,
AMEN,
What's the SNH opinion on THE HOLY BIBLE?

I read this in the style of a Johnny Cash record and it's AMAZING.

I'm not really much of a Manic Street Preachers fan to be honest

I actively dislike the Manic Street Preachers. Saw them once at Glastonbury. It rained. They didn't help my spirits.

what year was that? Think I may have been there, we were intending to go and watch them but we fell asleep in the tent instead, on reflection it was probably for the best

the old testament is a great read, god is like family guy´s stewie, f.e one day god is bored and he make Ezequiel to cook his food and then eat it on top of human poo

that sounds about right, I went either 1999 and 2000 or 2000 and 2001 and I know it was the first time I went that Manic's played
*edit* yes it was '99, I was asleep in the tent and woke up just as they were starting their set, decided not to bother

You didn't miss much. It was one of those ridiculously cold evenings, we were huddled round a cluster of around 8 of those shitty wax flares desperately trying to keep warm... then the rain came and everyone that wasn't already on suicide watch fucked off to watch Orbital.
