Resampling with harmor in ableton

Alright guys, I have a huge fucking issue with harmor and ableton. Its kind of complicated so I will try my best to explain it.

I am using live 9, harmor vst and edision vst.

The problem I am having is when I record audio into ableton. Any time I resample from harmor (record into albeton), Ableton creates a new file. From there, Ableton wont let me open that file into harmor. In other words, Ableton is keeping a handle of the bounced clip, locking down its permissions and not letting any other program use it.

So obviously this is a huge fucking problem when resampling when considering that I can only bounce from Harmor once.

As a work around, I decided to get edision standalone and record audio in with that. This works because edision creates a seperate file that is independent of Ableton. However, this is extremely fucking unstable and it crashes quiet often. On top of that, edison doesnt create 'markers' for me to nicely slice the audio file (which is another issue with resampling). So fuck edision.

Someone has mentioned to route FL though Albeton, but I do not see how this will fix the problem considering that recording audio into ableton prevents me from opening that recorded audio into harmor.

So fuck me.

Also fuck you, I am not switching to FL.

So, I need to figure out how to 'streamline' a bounced clip back into harmor without going through these fucking hurdles. I wish I could just freeze, flatten, then drag that audio clip into harmor (kind of like how it is streamlined in FL), but I cant :(.

Hope u guys can help.

Display the file in your browser, then delete the file from the arrange/session view, then try to import the file into Harmor. If it still doesn't work rename the file within the browser, then drag and drop it.

This does not work.

But I figured out a work around: I export the audio file (simlar to that of exporting your entire mixdown, i.e file -> export) as a wav then use that file. Thanks for the idea tho.

I ended up with that yesterday

I usually consolidate the audio(so it creates a new file) then delete and grab the new one from the project->consolidated folder

try that

I don't know why, but this doesn't work for me. I see the logic and it makes perfect sense to me. However when I drag that file into harmor nothing happens.
