Spectrograph plugins

Post by God Komplex » Thu Jan 30, 2014 1:54 am

Hi everybody. I'm looking for some good spectrograph plugins for FL. The default ones in FL are pure shit. :D

Plox Halp.

P.s. Spectrograph is the right term right? The ones where you can see all the frequency as they play. Yea.

No they're not - learn what you got, seriously. All DAWs have some cracking stock plugins, learn the shit out of them. You're new to this, so use your DAW for 12 months or more, don't use anything else. Lock yourself in an FL-only box, and those points where you get frustrated cos you can't create "that sound" is exactly the point where you expore the synth rather than trying to make someone else's sound (which is impossible).

Learn it, live it, love it.

He's not on about synths he's on about spectral analysers...
Talking of that why don't you try out the free voxengo spectral analyser

I've been using FL 10 for about 10 and a half months now. I'm not worried about synths. It's more for drums since thats where my issues are. The only "Spectrograph(s)" on FL is Fruity spectroman. It's so horrible. See for yourself. I do respect your opinion on "Lock yourself in an FL-only box" I get the idea.

fruity parametric EQ 2 has one, and it's kickass. It's good to have it since it shows you where particular frequencies are quite a bit more accurately than other analysers. If you can get a copy of fabfilter's pro Q, it has the other type of analyser display, which is better for identifying frequencies over time.

Wave candy mothafuckaa. It has an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, db meter and vectorscope + you can customise it quite a bit. Oh, and it's a stock FL plugin

highly recommend smexoscope as well as other mentioned plugins ITT. ableton has a rock solid stock spectrum plug so i use that a lot, but smexoscope is great as well for obvious reasons.

Can't you use the graphic eq that it comes with? I thought that was better?

I don't use FL but if you click the gear thing in the corner of wave candy you can change the transparency :)

There's no gear for this one. As all of the settings are already up. But I've messed with every knob on there. Nothing makes it more solid

Yeah it does, I use it all the time, and it's solid as fuk. Can't remember which know it was though. But as I said, it's pretty customizable
